"PRESS 'L' MR BOND. THE WORD LOBBY BEGINS WITH 'L'" Had a good day at work today. Chatted to a couple of authors, discussed the wonder that is 'Sock Monkey' and managed to get some writing work done while I was at work - if that makes sense? I decided I was wasting too much time sitting around at work at lunch and on breaks so I've started to take my trusty Jordana in with me to make the days that tad more productive. Just got my review of 'Life of Pi' in for the next edition of Bookslut. Should also feature the Donna Tart review too which I discussed today with the Daily Telegraph. Seems my review may be the first to break the embargo (odd seeing as I wrote it last month and had the advance copy at least a month before that) but they were more interested in rumours of 'translated' versions of the book apearing on the internet. Not every day I get to speak to journalists as an 'expert'. I'm speaking to them again next week for a story they may be running on bookstores vs publishers. Kind of interesting. Not a lot else to report really. Got the majority of my emails off yesterday and now have a stack of replies to wade through. Will be updating later tonight with links and anything else that I find worthy online. Mike is blogging to: nothing
