"RABID WEASELS"
Wet.
Dry now though. But for a time - very wet.
I met up with Shannon this morning and wandered around Battersea Park with her and Misha. Misha is the most beautiful Siberian Husky, complete with David Bowie eyes:
Stunning huh?
Shannon is one of those friends I mentioned a few posts ago. Read my blog, got in touch and here we are dog walking. She used to live in San Francisco and Amsterdam before coming to London. She has a great website that you should check out and a has a nice way with words too:
"I am grateful for the town-planners who had the foresight to create little pockets of nature in the city. Even if we have to stow little monkeys in them."
Check out her blog to read more. So we wandered around in the rain, drank coffee and watched Misha do the whole dog thing. If I was walking a Labrador today and saw Misha I'd be gutted... EVERYONE in SW has a fucking Labrador. Beautiful dogs but still... anyway at one point we watch this photographer guy snapping away some headshots of some model girly (A girly that is a model not an Airfix kit) and I notice that he seems to be taking more pictures of the husky than of the girl. Ha. Eventually he asks if Shannon minds Misha being in the shots properly. I'm sure they were wonderful shots but they probably killed the poor girl's career - yeah she was pretty but she didn't have a wet nose, mischievous grin and pointy ears...
Shannon is cool enough to join in my inane conversations about 'Columbo' - turns out she's a 'Magnum' fan (The P.I. with moustache and too tight shorts as opposed to the crusty metal band). American television - the great unifier. She also pointed out some strange creatures at the zoo that looked like giant rabbits... I'll have to return with a camera and take some Night of the Lepus style action shots.
On the way back home I get stopped for directions by too women hopelessly lost looking for of all things a crematorium... There was a third person sleeping on the back seat. At least I think he was sleeping...
