"YOU'RE SHORTER THAN I THOUGHT YOU'D BE" Heads in the news: Man saws off his head in KZN supermarket A 31-year-old man sawed his head off in full view of staff and customers at a supermarket in Richards Bay, northern KwaZulu-Natal, on Monday afternoon, police said. Superintendent Jay Naiker said Emmanuel Gumbi walked into the butchery section of Shoprite branch, switched on an electric meat saw, positioned his neck near the blade and sawed off his head. He said Gumbi did not leave a suicide note. Naiker said Gumbi's family said they had been shocked by the incident because he never showed signs of depression and: Man arrested carrying severed head German police arrested a man on suspicion of murdering his sister-in-law yesterday after he was spotted carrying her severed head through the streets of a town near the Dutch border. Police received several telephone calls from people who had seen the 24-year-old suspect walking with a blood-soaked knife and the head under his arm in the town of Uebach-Palenberg, near Aachen, the public prosecutor Robert Deller said. After arresting the suspect, police searched his apartment and discovered the decapitated corpse of his 25-year-old sister-in-law. Mr Deller said that the motive for the alleged murder was unclear.
