"OH WHAT A GOOFY WORK IS MAN" So I'll be spending the rest of this week writing and looking for more work. I think I have one or two more cheques due and then that's it so I need to scare up some more cash from somewhere. Good news on that front is that I just got offered a job as Content Administrator for a new music website. Plus points are that its well paid and that I can do it from home (I love broadband) but as with all start-ups its going to take a while to get off the ground. I'll keep you posted as soon as I hear more about it. Stuff that doesnt pay the rent is also getting interesting but more on that later. Jess just got 'Kingdom Hearts' which is stunning. I wasn't too sure if the Squaresoft stuff was gonna sit easily with the Disney fluff but it makes for an interesting combination. I'm starting to get scared at the thought of how much time I'll lose when PlayOnline goes live with the release of 'Final Fantasy XI'. Remember the fucked up campaign to get The Two Towers renamed in the wake of 9-11? Well check out a similar idea to prevent the marring of Elvis' good name. Funny as that is, I just read a piece on Michale Caine and The Quiet American over on CNN in which he tells how he had to fight to get the film even released because of post 9-11 fucked-up thinking... A pretty obvious but still funny piece of satire on the current police state thinking is online here courtesy of Comedy Central. But just in case you were worried that those in power didn't have any helpful strategies check this out. It makes you rest easy that no matter how much of the rest of the world gets blown to fuck at least a handful of American landmarks will always be preserved. Ah well... at least it will give the apes something to play on. Mike is blogging to: soundtrack stuff
