"WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY OF LAWS. WHY DO YOU THINK I TOOK YOU TO SEE ALL THOSE POLICE ACADEMY MOVIES? FOR FUN? WELL, I DIDN'T HEAR ANYBODY LAUGHING! DID YOU? EXCEPT AT THAT GUY WHO MADE SOUND EFFECTS. "VROOM! BEEP! HONK! HONK!" HA-HA. WHERE WAS I? OH YEAH, STAY OUT OF MY BOOZE!"
An American police officer was killed in November - shot twice in the side and once in the head at close range while refuelling his patrol car in a town called Red Bluff. You may think this kind of thing happens a lot - you may be right - but what makes this killing slightly different is that the killer, 23 year old Andrew McCrae, is not only posting acknowledgement of the crime online, he is actually claiming to be immune from prosecution. He argues that although the crime was pre-meditated he is free from responsibility as he formed a corporation prior to the act and carried out the murder in that corporation's name. Read exactly what he has to say here. The guy is not crazy but actually seems to be making a political statement. It'll be interesting to see how the American justice system treats his claims...
Especially when you remember all the fuss that was made over a song:
