My Adrian Tomine interview just went up over on Bookslut. And Tod Goldberg just emailed me to ask where exactly my new tattoo is positioned - I have to admit it isn't exactly clear in the crappy pic that I posted. For the record (and apparently bets have been placed on this) the tattoo is actually just above my left wrist. This morning I got the TRIBE shirt that I won a few months back... I guess I should start using that thing again huh? I dread to think how much crap has built up on there with my name on it. My NaNoWriMo project is on a stop start stop express line to early morning insomnia at the moment. That sentence made no sense at all did it? For what its worth I have updated the Thingstable blog and there is even an excerpt. The fireworks scared the cat - in Wandsworth we had a few distant shows for him to contend with but here in the middle of the city it was the cat equivalent of Iraq. Poor Merry. Jess calmed him down by watching The Fellowship of The Ring at full volume - which funnily enough had a large and noisy fireworks display at the beginning which sent the cat running away from his namesake and cowering under the bed until Sean Bean died. I gave up trying to watch it again - Loved it the first time round, in fact I loved it quite a few times but watching it tonight I couldn't get past how fucking silly the whole thing is. I'd rather watch Bad Taste. Still looking forward to the third one though. After seeing Yosser Hughes in Part 2 I'm hoping that Jimmy Corkhill makes a cameo in the next one. Speaking of TV - we now have cable. I think we now need to get rid of it again. I loved the ignorant bliss that not knowing who Jessica Simpson was brought me. Now I am subjected to the most awful atrocities... we went after Saddam and did nothing about Aaron Spelling? For shame. I am getting a kick out of Takeshi's Castle though. I love the fact that no one seems to know that the mad guy in the camp bi-plane at the end is Takeshi BEAT Kitano himself... But out of 67 channels that and The Simpsons are the ONLY things I can bring myself to watch. Right - time for coffee and another mash at the keyboard...
