I just saw the trailer for the new Robert de Niro film Showtime. It looks pretty pedestrian. De Niro plays the angry good cop to Eddie Murphy's funny crap cop. Ho hum. It would have been a lot more interesting to see De Niro play the loser and Murphy the straight man. At least it would hark back a little to something like 'King of Comedy' as opposed to 'Meet the Parents'. I remember a few years ago watching a De Niro season on Ch4 - Tarantino remarked that he and his friends would go see the new De Niro movie without fail whenever it came out - right up until 'Backdraft'... Thank god Harvey Keitel chose a different path. Mike still has no music
