We crashed real early last night - all those late nights finally caught up with me - slept through for 12 hours straight. Today should be interesting. We are off in an hour or so to view yet another prospective home - this time its a tower in a gothic 'castle'. We are just drawn to these odd places - only drawback to this one is how close it is to where we are living right now - should be fun to have a look around though. Here's the bumpf on the place: "A rare opportunity to acquire one of the few multi-level tower apartments in this spectacular Grade II Listed Gothic edifice, built in 1857 by Rhode Hawkins as the Royal Victoria Patriotic Asylum, a school for the daughters of servicemen. In later years it was used by the military and MI5 for intelligence and interrogation purposes. The conversion into apartments, offices and a flourishing restaurant took place in the middle 1970s. The spaciousness and height of the tower flats is breathtaking however this radically unconventional style of living over 5 levels is not ideal for those suffering from vertigo but - what parties you could have here!!" Sounds pretty cool huh? Lots of people have already said I'd wind up in an asylum. Mike is blogging to: The distant sound of Jim's radio
