NIGHT OF THE BIG HEAT It seems as hot as 1967 - where's Christopher Lee when you need him? I'm tired but it's too hot to sleep. Tried to crash at 1am but got up again, tried again at 3am - same deal. Decided to stay awake and collapse some time tomorrow... Spent most of today at the cinema - saw The Business of Strangers double-billed with The Company of Men - good stuff. Today and yesterday I managed to see both Austin Powers and Minority Report way too many times... working in a cinema is just too damn convenient. I'm reading Hunter S Thompson at the moment - weird to read about the 80's and politics through his eyes - I'm watching Gilliam's Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas to speed things up until the sun decides to join us... Later today we are starting to look at houses again - more estate agents, more sweaty hand-shakes and tours round other people's homes... maybe I should take the camera... Mike is blogging to: the sound of the cat tearing up the stairs...
