"I DON'T WANT TO SLEEP WITH FULLER - HE'LL PEE ALL OVER ME" Jess is out with Pippa so I won't see her until tomorrow now. Gives me lots of time I don't really want to get stuff done. Tidied up my piece for Brindled and will give it to Rikki tomorrow. Added a few thousand words to the NaNoWriMo novel - none of them very good. Hung out with the guys on PunkPlanet for the first time in months - good to talk to Daisy again. Wrote a couple of emails. Annoyed the cat. Ignored the television which was very satisfying and read a few things I've been meaning to dip into for ages. This line from an interview with Alan Moore keeps going round and round with me tonight: "Literature is the highest possible technology. Its virtual reality right there: 26 letters rearranged in certain forms which, when decoded by the average human mind, can recreate a complete wraparound 3-D environment" I also recalled a line or two from Dr Seuss (not surprisingly as I've been stealing his rhyme schemes for Brindled) "My alphabet starts with this letter called yuzz. It's the letter I use to spell yuzz-a-ma-tuzz. You'll be sort of surprised what there is to be found once you go beyond 'Z' and start poking around!" For some reason it seems important to note that esio trot is tortoise backwards. Mike is blogging to: Serge Gainsbourg
